My Story
I am a combination of all that has come before me. My great grandma Rose was a baker and cake decorator, and I feel beyond fortunate that I get to carry her name with me everyday as Taylor Rose. Every time I hold a piping bag , I am reminded of the values inherited from my family heritage: community, hospitality, and above all, hard-work. Cornerstones of what Tay’s Treat’s is all about.
Baking’s not only in my blood, but has been a social tool I have been using since middle school. As a big extrovert, nothing will make you friends faster than coming to school with a tray of cupcakes! From what started with boxed cake mix and giggles with friends as if we were on cupcake wars, turned into homemade creations like making my cousin's wedding cake when I was 15 to creating my Instagram in my college home (1608!) to baking one of my best friend’s wedding cakes in 2021 (thanks Olivia & Drew). My official business came to be in 2024 in Portland, Oregon with the help of a dear friend and mentor, Sean Ducey. Since then I have baked for weddings, hosted pop ups with values-aligned purposes, and made everyday treats for folks to celebrate the moments that matter most to them.
When I look back on when I first started my Instagram, @taystreatsandsweets, I think of a version of me who was just emerging. I didn’t have any idea that my love for baking and making my friends come over to be “taste testers” would turn into something this sweet.
Stay tuned as I keep baking treats across the PNW and selling flowers with my sister and grandpa!

There’s no Tay’s Treats & Sweets without all my “taste testers”, fellow bakers, and support of my friends & Family! I couldn’t be more grateful for all the folks who have put on an apron alongside me!
